Yup... I spent my weekend with shopping.. shopping.. shopping! Mmm.. Have I mentioned shopping? :)

Last saturday, I went to Bogor with my two friends, Mba Ade & Coneng. First we wanted to go to Gunung Mas, but then it started raining :( Worried about the road, we changed our trip to Bogor. In Bogor, we went to Roti Unyil as our first destination. After bought some Roti Unyil, we were heading to Tajur, a center of cheap bag, well.. it's not that so cheap anyway. There I bought Mom two nice bags, cheap of course :)

After eating, praying and looking for bunch of bags, we continue the day to some factory outlets. I supposed not buying anything as I'd got two bags and Roti Unyil. But then.. I'm just a woman anyway, I couldn't hold myself to buy some items on those outlets. And you know the end of the story... I got some items that I brought home in the end. Love for a very-cheap-original Victoria's Secret stuff :)

And in sunday I spent my day with shopping for a whole day again... Damn!!! It because one of my best friend, Endah, called me in the sunday morning when I was sleeping. She asked me to accompany her to meet her boyfriend, who works in a new-huge-prestigious mal (well actually hotel) in Jakarta. As a good friend, of course I said YES to her.

We spent some times in Bunderan HI first for looked around and took some good pictures, as there was a celebration of Children's Day and also A Car Free Day. Got tired for looking around and almost melting cause of the sun.. oh don't forget starving as well, we went to the mal. Spent some first hours with taking pictures (again!!! :P), eating.. (we're starving, remember?) and looking around.

To be honest, I didn't want to buy some things again as I've too much shopping for this month. But then, I saw Marks & Spencer (DAMN!!!) and it was sale... Buy three for four! So I bought it :( And ooooooooooh... I passed Charles & Keith (mode on *CRYING*). Damn.. I really love that product, especially the shoes. The end of the story.. I bought a fine-pair shoes, with lil bit regret, but at least I'm not only want it, I also need it, as I'll use it in my friend's wedding next week.

What a woman, huh???

Now, I really feel guilty to my husband. As he works hard everyday, and things that I can do is only spend his money all the time. Sorry, Hon!!! :(

*One of the best thing of that day was I could take pictures in Jalan Sudirman with no car around, except Trans Jakarta. We had many good pictures, especially mine :)
*Thanks God, Mango has saved my money as when I went to Mango's store, a big bag that I dreamed about was sold-out. Yeah!!! :)

Well, I'm not posting my days on AOCIFF 08 yet, I only want to write that I miss all people on that event; all LOs (we're rock!!!!), the participants (especially my Korean team), Kamil (seventeen-ys-Polish-boy.. FYI I named him SASSY BOY for some reasons), Arsena's people, Mira (LO's roommate though not an LO :P), Mba Virgin (who has a huge sex appeal for 'bule' :P), Mba Nties (who's in-charge for our food), Mama Angie (bluuurpp... :P), Mba Ata (thx for the breakfast, mba!!), Billy (our dance leader :P), The Dynamic Duo: Mas Afi & Mas Leo, Papa Yadi (who always patient with those transportation's problems), Mas Agung (what a very kind & nice man!! He's one of the best person I've ever met. Love you, Mas!!!).

Awesome.. The underdog team won the game. Yeaaah!!!

Russia bring the team to Euro 2008 semi-finals by overcame the Dutch this morning, yet incredibly the score was 3:1 for Russia.

The best thing of this game is I won the bet! Hahaha..
It happened when three friends of mine was side with the Dutch, and I was the only one who stick with Russia. You three guys never expected it, right?? :P

So, I'll get pizza in Pisa Cafe (according to hubby is the best place for pizza in Jakarta), Japanese food in Sushi Tei and a fine-pair of shoes (mode on *thinking of the brand* :P). All free for sure :P

Euro 2008 is killing me!!! Aaaaaaaaaaarghh...

I think, slowly but sure this Euro 2008 that was start in last early June is killing me as I couldn't sleep on right schedule ever since. Well, it's my choice though, but stay up, watch all night, sleep in-sleep late resulted in my migrain. Damn!!!

I don't like it (who does???), but in the other hand I don't wanna missed every-single match in Euro 2008.

Being an LO

Today one of my good friend, Mba Ade, offered me for being an LO (License Officer) for 5th Asian & Oceanian Children's International Folkfest 2008 that will held in Jakarta on July 3-12 2008.

And of course, no surprisingly (*mode on cocky!* :P) I got it. They gave me options for being an LO for Korea (adult participants), Taiwan (attractive-sassy children) or Algeria (with speaking Franch) and I took Korea as I can't speak Franch of course and it will be easier for handling adult than children (at least I think so).

So for 10 days I'll stay in a hotel, wake up early - sleep late, speak English all day, be a nice Indonesian woman, build a network, make a friend but... oh nooooo... no bla-bla-bla on phone :(

Chelsea VS Man United... What a drama!!!

Aaaaaaaargh... I'm sleepy and also still bit pissed as my Chelsea was beaten by MU. Damn!!

Heal yeah!!! Last very early morning was three hours drama for Chelsea VS Manchester United in Champion League. After a high-drama of heavy rain, Drogba's red card, Ronaldo and Terry's missed penalty, finally MU won the Champion final by beating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties.

Penalty was the only solution after tied for 120 mins. Two shots from both Chelsea and MU went well. Then, Christiano Ronaldo suprisingly failed his shot. Yeaaaaahh!!! But my "YEAH" was gone when my John Terry slipped and his kick hitted Van Der Sar's pole. Terry only sat on the ground in disbelief. And this drama ended up when Anelka's shot went right as did Van Der Sar blocked to the right as well. I've no idea why Anelka shot to the right as all Chelsea's players shot to the Van Der Sar's left and it worked --except for Terry of course :(--

The game wasn't about skill as both team had shown their level, I think on penalty is more about lucky as 'it' factor, oh and fate also did play its part.

I feel bad for John Terry (you did it very well, indeed!!!), bit for Anelka and also (maybe) for Drogba though he shouldn't did that stupid slap thing. But anyway, it was one of the best match I've ever seen.

A Mighty Movie called "A Mighty Heart"

Last night I watched "A Mighty Heart" starred by Angelina Jolie, and totally LOVE IT!

Ok.. I know it sounds 'basi'. As this movie was released last year. But hey.. there's an old phrase said: better late than never, right? *mode on DEFENSE* :P

Movie who directed by Michael Winterbottom, a versatile and talented director who genuinely loves truth (taken from this site), and produced by Mr Jolie aka Brad Pitt :) based on a true story from Marianne Pearl, a superpower-wife of Daniel Pearl --the South Asia bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal-- who kidnapped and killed by some insane people in Pakistan.

I'm not going to talk about this movie like those movie critics instead I only can give many thumbs up as two thumbs are not enough. I like the whole things of this movie, either the actors, dialogues, and its every detail. But this is the dialogue that I love the most:

“The day when every moslem family sacrifices an animal to God.
In remembrance of Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael.
The meat is then divided into three parts, one for the family,
one for the neighbor, and one for the poor”

My free translation version:

“Hari saat setiap keluarga muslim mengorbankan seekor binatang ke Tuhan.
Memperingati kerelaan Ibrahim untuk mengorbankan putranya Ismail.
Lalu daging kemudian dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, satu untuk keluarga,

Unlike many hollywood movies that usually put Islam in a corner and describe moslem as horrible terrorist, in that short dialogue showed that Winterbottom and Pitt made a fair movie and gave a small signal to the world that Islam is a very care-humanize-lovely religion with its taught.

Anyway, I agree with many people said that A Mighty Heart is the 2nd best movie of Jolie after "Girl Interrupted" and will be shocked if Jolie ain't win Academy Award for this hard-emotional-challenging-Oscar worthy movie.

Just finished my interview for being PA of JICA's Expert in Ministry of Communication and Information. Unlike my last interview experience, with Funabashi San, this one was more difficult. I thought it was like interview with Funabashi San, but hell no! Today was bit difficult, indeed. Damn!

And unlike Pak Funabashi, this Expert has a very Japan-English languange. His English is sooo Japan. I couldn't barely understand what he was talking about. Brrrrghh...

Just got a... maybe.. a confusing news. Today I offered for being PA for JICA (again!!), but now for JICA Expert in Ministry of Communication and Information. Maybe for some people, it's not a confusing at all.. It's a 'rejeki', but the problem is I've setting my plan for some months later. Like why I only asked working for short term with Pak Funabashi, just because I've a plan to go to Bali next May, I need to prepare documents for US Embassy and also arrange my work schedule with my hubby's visit to Jakarta next August (Insya Alloh).

Now I'm still thinking for it, do I have to accept it or not.

A Chance To Guam

Just finished browsing for Guam as Hubby's being considered for a Contract Specialist position with the U.S. Navy in Guam. Hubby said it would pay better than the Red Cross if hired. First, Hubby was sound --maybe bit afraid-- with my opinion. He asked, would I like that or not.

Well honey, like I said to you, I've no problem with your choice for work. If US Navy sounds good, just take it! I truly don't mind to go there with you. And so, who doesn't want to stay in a Pacific Paradise with their beloved one, right? :)

Anyway, it's surprised me because it turned out that Guam is an organized unincorporated territory of USA. And it stated in this site that, Over its long history, Guam has been called many names: 'Hub of the Pacific," "Gateway to Micronesia," and "Where America's Day Begins," just to name a few. For many World War II veterans, it is a place of fond memories. For many Asian immigrants, it is a place to start a new life. But for the Chamorros and the many other peoples that now inhabit the island, it is and always will be home. Don't you think it's very interesting?

Hubby said that, he may not even be picked but it would be interesting if he was.

Yep, Hon.. I agree with you. As Guam looks beautiful from the pics and seems a very nice place to live for.

PS: Honey, correct me if I'm wrong, but working for US Navy is working for US government also, right? :P

Bigger Is Better!

If spam e-mails are any indication of reality, the world is suffering a shortage of sorts. Endless e-mails promise the benefits of additional inches with some indicating a possibility of an additional eight inches. Others promise longer, harder, "Honey, I'm glad to see you," results with some such as Viagra suggesting medical care if the towel rack is capable of hanging laundry for more than four hours. Thankfully, many of these e-mails indicate the doctor is already aware of the situation, and has recommended the product.

One day, in a moment of weakness and having returned from Texas where bigger is better, all of these various enhancing product e-mails were gathered together, and orders placed. An entire FedEx delivery truck later the products arrived, and the experiment began. Not content with merely adding inches or just increasing circulation the thought to combine all of the products and take them all at once came to mind.

Wow! All that can be said is thank you! No longer will a bat be needed to play baseball or a golf club required to enjoy a good walk spoiled. But it should make one think twice about becoming a ball boy or caddy. Tripping and falling to the ground are a thing of the past as is rolling out of bed when sleeping.

The only negative observed throughout the experiment was an inverse reaction by the ladies. Happiness decreased as well, things increased, and budgetary constraints tightened due to ever increasing experimental expenditures. The results seem to conflict with the theory that size matters possibly indicating a factor of greater importance.

Three Days More

Hari ini Pak Bos tugas luar kota, ke Bandung tepatnya. Pastinya, 3 hari menjelang resign, will be like three days with 'bengong', as I'll have nothing to do.

Tadi pagi agak ribet (finally after 2 months working!). Pak Bos asked help (what a very good Pak Bos, he always asked help rather than gave order to me) to change his plane ticket, call people who's in charge for his visit to Baristand Samarinda, and (it's his personal life matter) call the ticket box who sold ticket for Disney on Ice show to deliver the tickets to his apartment than to office as he'll not in office when they deliver it.

For last three days, I don't need to translate some industry coloumns in those newspaper, like I did everyday before, as Pak Bos isn't at office. I will browsing and chatting for a whole day. I will watching DVD's Heroes Season 2 (3 episodes more. Yeahh!!), I will back home early and come late of course (what a secretary!:P)

Oh, talking about my last three days, it reminds me to buy a gift for Pak Bos and prepare my small farewell party for this nice office.

What a tiring friday!

Not because I had many things to do in office, which is never, instead the traffic almost killing me! It was like a nightmare and rain made it bloody perfect :( Can you imagine stuck for almost 2,5 hours? Nope, I wasn't going to a place outside Jakarta. Oh, not mentioned some crazy drivers who 'se-enak udelnya' with their ride.

Well, there was a nice story for today though.

Today, Pak Bos took me for lunch in Kirishima, a nice-expensive Japanese Restaurant. Pak Bos said it's a kinda farewell lunch as 2 weeks later I'll not being his PA anymore. Unlike food in someJapanese Restaurants I had eaten, though expensive, that Restaurant has a good taste, indeed. Uhm, maybe before I ate, I asked a lot to Pak Bos for the menu and told him early that I'm not eating sushi or sashimi (Yackk!!!) as I like food that cooked well. So I chose Beef Teriyaki with Shrimp (as it seems the most safety menu) and Pak Bos picked Shabu-Shabu. It seems we had a good time and also some good food, well at least I had.

We was talking mostly about his life (his wife and 2 sons), his careers and some places that he had lived; some in Africa, some in Europe, USA, of course Japan, and now Indonesia. I envy him. I asked about how he met his wife and it turned out that Pak Bos and his wife met in German when his wife was being a volunteer in JICA [Klo jodoh nggak kemana yaaa..]

So, even though I had a suck back-home trip at least I got another good one.

Folks, have I told you that my boss and I have a same birth date? Yup, we were born on March 7, in different year of course :) First I were surprise when he told me, like he was surprise when knew from my resume.

But this same birth date gave some 'profits' for me, like today I didn't need to buy a cake for office as Pak Bos has bought it, and Pak Bos also gave me two-expensive puddings as the gift and said that one for me and the other one for my husband. What a very good boss, right? :)

The best thing from this twenty-seven is I've got a half of my religion when officially being a wife from Brian Wogan :)

I still remember a year ago, in the same date, some good friends of mine made a joke for me to make a many du'a so God sent me a husband as they never saw me interest with any man, except Ryan Seacrest and Keanu Reeves :P

If used to be I were always wondering about the gifts from my friend for my birthday :P This year I'm expect nothing, not the gifts nor the surprise :) Alloh has sent me a very wonderful husband and it means world, now I only hope that Alloh always guide me being a good wife for my husband, a good mommy for my future children, a good daughter for my parents, a good sister for my Syifa and Sofyan, a good family for my big family, a good friend for my good friends, and a good human for this world :)

1st Day in MoI

Today's my 1st day being personal assistant of JICA's Expert in Ministry of Industry.
Not much to do, just moving some old files or folders, checking PC and doing bla-bla-bla with Pak Bos and people around.
So far I like Pak Bos and those people, and I think I can survive for the next two months. But we'll see...
